Mentoring Initiative

Surgical residents mentored at Westminster Presbyterian Church during Summer 2023 for 1 hour every week. A survey was conducted to observe the positive or negative impact of this program on the residents. The results suggests that the residents had an overall positive impact on their well-being as well as their medical education. They mentioned in the survey that through this program, they were able to connect more to their community. A mentoring program can be a crucial part in medical education and professional development. The survey results suggest that this program was successful in achieving its goals and had a meaningful impact on the residents.
